WHO said that diabetes is the 5th most widespread
disease, with the sufferer up to 1,5 milion people around the world. People can
get diabetes in any age. Diabetes sufferer must concern to cure the illness due
to it can cause death. To cure the diabetes people must know what type of
diabetes that they get. Knowing the type of diabetes make sufferer to take
precise steps to solve from the illness. There are 3 kinds of diabetes that
common in the world, type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes usually diagnosed in children. It can be
called as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes. Pancreas as factory
of insulin can not produce it, the condition make glucose that intake from
meals can not get to the cells. Glucose concentration in the blood still high
in unsafe stage.
Type 2 diabetes usually diagnosed in adult and old people
eventhough children can suffer it. Formerly called as adult-onset diabetes or
noninsulin-dependent diabetes. Pancreas still produce insulin in enough volume,
but the fat, muscle, and liver cells can not use it properly. In the later
time, pancreas will produce lower insulin that not enough in response to meals.
Gestational usually diagnosed in pregnant women. This type
of diabetes caused by hormones of pregnancy or shortage of insulin. After the
women born the baby, the diabetes will goes away due she no more produce
pregnancy hormones. Women that suffer gestational diabetes more likely to
develop type 2 diabetes in after life.
